TRAJECTORY & CONTACT

Fiona du Mesnildot (b. 1990) is a Bordeaux-based artist and ceramist.
From 2009 to 2013, she studied applied arts in Paris, followed by a period of design research in the Netherlands, Arles, and Saint-Étienne until 2023. Since 2021, her practice has focused on ceramics.

Her visual and formal research is at the crossroads of visual arts and design, questioning the perception of reality and the conventions that organize us. By displacing materials, places, or temporalities, she re-appropriates the object, making it a key to a silent narrative and a way to create spaces of heterotopia.

Among her references:
The theatricality of Guy de Cointet, the surrealism of Luis Buñuel, the idealism of Facteur Cheval, and the fantasy of Lewis Carroll.
