A free interpretation of the silverware service of King George III of England and Hanover (1776-1785),
which has been gradually acquired by the Louvre since 1976.
The work is based on images and measurements from the book
"The Tables of Power: A History of Prestigious Meals" and more particularly from the chapter "When the
Spectacle was on the Table, the French-style Service" (p. 285, Louvre-Lens).
